If you’ve ever wanted to become a ‘powerseller’ on eBay or just sell products part-time then you have two options, you can either purchase products at wholesale and sale them on eBay with the downside being that you have to ship the items yourself or you could find a dropship service that will give you a discount on products and ship to the customers from their warehouse.

I have found two companies and tested their service and found them both to be worth a go.

BuyBuyDirect – This company gives you tons of products to choose from that you purchase at a discounted rate. Minimum purchase quantities range from 2 to 12 items and they ship directly to you. This service doesn’t have any membership dues but you have to pay for shipping charges.

Operation: Dropship – This is a service that has hundreds of dropshippers they use to dropship the items straight to your customers. The only issue I have with this is with so many dropshippers, it is hard to rate the service and speed of each company. This service costs $39.95 a month and has a 30-day free trial.

With some dropshippers your customers could have to wait up to a week or more before the item even gets shipped out. I have personally had this happen before with MegaGoods.com. I was selling Motorola Razr phones that showed "In Stock" when I ordered them and were back ordered for 2 weeks before they were actually shipped. When the items actually arrived, they had European chargers with them and I had to buy US chargers at my own cost and ship them separately to each customer. This was hell on my feedback and I had to deal with tons of angry customers.

With buying in quantity from companies like BuyBuyDirect, you actually have the chance to inspect the items before shipping and there’s no issues with backordering because you have the actual product in your hands.

There are tons of companies for both types of product selling. These are two that I have tested and found to be good for what they do. These will surely get you started and on your way to ‘powerseller’ status on eBay.
