Make Ton’s of Money Recruiting

By Jason | Aug 30, 2008

Most people don’t know that you can recruit potential employees for big tech companies and rake in commissions. One of those companies being Hostgator.com and boy do they pay good.

Recruit a System Administrator and get $2500
Recruit a PHP/Perl Programmer and get $2000
Recruit a Chat/Phone Support Rep and get $500

There are a few requirements:

  1. They must be able to legally work in our Houston Headquarters.
  2. They must be employed for 90 days in order to be paid.
  3. The employee needs to be full-time to get this referral bonus.
  4. You must fill out the referral form before their first interview.
  5. You cannot refer yourself.

They will help with relocation for system administrators and programmers so as long as they are legal to work in the USA, they are easy to get hired.

TUK’s Blog Flipping Contest

By Jason | Aug 25, 2008

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I wanted to make my last post, "What to do after the flip ", stayed a little bit sticky so it didn’t get buried too soon. It has tons of useful info for what to do after flipping your websites.

The other reason for lack of posts was that I have been working my butt off trying to get my other business, LayawayGuns.com , into the final phase of start-up so we can launch soon.

The big news I just read is that Jason from theUniversityKid.com is having a blog flipping contest . I think it is a great idea for a contest to not only show people what it takes to flip a website, but to also earn money from the lesson. There will be no real losers in this contest as everyone will be flipping sites and making money.

I myself will be competing in this contest and have a few tricks up my sleeve to make my team the winner.

So head over and find out what to do to signup for the contest. I will see you at the finish line.

What To Do After The Flip

By Jason | Aug 20, 2008

I have read a lot of posts on flipping sites lately, whether they be static websites, blogs or forums. I have myself recently flipped a few BANS stores, a blog I put together and put content on and a phpBB game forum.

The biggest question most of you have is "What do I do during/after the flip? ".

First off, the payment.

On a recent flip, I asked the buyer if he would transfer the money to my bank account instead of using paypal, mainly because I don’t like the percentage they take out. The buyer said he didn’t feel safe doing this and that paypal was the only option he felt good about using. He stated with paypal, he could file a dispute and receive a refund if the deal had gone bad.

So paypal might not be such a bad idea after all and if you explain this to the customer during the sale, they might feel more at ease about the whole transaction and things will go smoother.

Google Checkout is another payment option you might consider. I have not used their service so you will need to check into that yourself.

My First MMO Failure

By Jason | Aug 18, 2008

I was reading a post over at TUK today where he was talking about a recent failure he had. I decided to post my making money online failure too so you see that I too am trying and sometime fail and to keep you from making my same mistake.

When I started out with my blog, I was really hell bent on helping people make money online. Notably single mothers and fathers and people trying to make it through college on their own working crap jobs to pay the bills.

At that time I had never heard of John Chow, Problogger or Shoemoney… Actually my first MMO read was JohnCow.com and I thought I could do better than they did for teaching people how to make money.

Top Commentators & Related Posts

By Jason | Aug 15, 2008

I decided to add ‘Show Top Commentators ‘ to the sidebar which will be dofollow for links and a related pages list to the end of each post. Luckily I grabbed a copy of ‘Related Posts’ from w-a-s-a-b-i.com before their site went AWOL and was able to install it without any issues.

I will provide a copy for download for those who wish to install it. I have not edited the file in any way. The zip is just as I downloaded from w-a-s-a-b-i.com a few months ago.

Download: Related Post 2.04

I am also trying out a new plugin called ‘Comment Relish ‘ that will email first time commenters with a thank you email. It is supposed to double your rss and visitor count by providing a welcome feeling after they comment. We will see!

Head on over to TUK to enter in the contest … today is your last day to enter. Even after the contest date, visit the post and find out how you can donate to the sales team. All proceeds goto the breast cancer foundation.
