Avoid Spam with Gmail
Using Gmail for your business correspondence is becoming more and more the mainstay of internet business these days. Gmail uses an impressive set of anti-spam filters to insure the spam in your inbox stays at a minimum. While these filters work great to catch unsolicited spam, it is possible to get spam in your inbox.
This happens when you sign-up for online newsletters, software and other freebie websites to name a few. These companies will often sale their sign-up lists to compensate for the free service they provide.
June ’08 Revenue Report
June was a hard month for this site. Somehow the WordPress install became corrupt and was having issues with the database. Hostgator support quickly got the database issues figured out but that left me with figuring out how to repair WordPress.
With only two posts for the whole month, traffic was still coming in to last months content. Mostly from StumbleUpon.com at 188 hits.
Total unique traffic hits were 312 with 114 returning visitors.
My income for June was $323.71

And we’re back…
After a few technical difficulties with wordpress and the database, we are finally back. It took some decoding skills but I finally figured out the cross browser issues and got everything fixed up.

May ’08 Revenue Report
May was my first month and with the amount of posts I have been putting out lately my repeat vs new visitor count is fairly one sided and understandable with 137 new visitors and 8 repeat offenders.
That being said, my income for May was $207.53

I am having a few issues with this theme on Internet Explorer which half of my visitors are using. I never bothered to check how it looks in IE because I don’t have it installed on my Linux laptop. I am trying to find ways to fix it and if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Other than the theme issue, my biggest error is not posting enough. I have been working with my wireless security consulting firm a lot lately as well as my online gun store which will be launching soon. I am going to try even harder to bust out more posts this month and see if that helps any.
Firefox Signature Plugin
Today I found this great new Firefox plugin called Signature . It gives you an option on your right click menu to append custom signatures to any writable area in Firefox.
This is a great plugin for posting custom signatures with links to your blog or bans sites on emails, blog comments or forums. You can create as many signatures as you want and even put html into the entries.
