I wouldn't worry about it too much. They cannot reverse the charges anyway.

The only reason you would wait is so you could make sure the funds were transferred to your bank account and out of paypal before handing the product over.

You don't want the funds frozen in your account. Even if you do win the dispute, it could still freeze your money in the account for up to 10 days.

Paypal is on our side when it comes to disputes because the item being sold is electronic and not a real physical product. They can't prove they didn't receive it.

Unless it is physically shipped to them, they cannot receive a refund for it.

hey, thanks for telling me about this page :)

anyway, is it safe for us to use paypal ?, I mean, how about after we transfer the domain name, file and database. the buyer charge back via Paypal ?, is it possible ? (sorry for this dumb question, paypal just open their services for my country for a couple of month, so we here not quite too familiar with it)

@Tara :
so, if we use Paypal. which one will be covered more ?, the buyer or the seller ?

The sad thing is people think if they pay via paypal for a website they are covered and they ARE NOT. Paypal will close their case as soon as they find out they were purchasing virtual goods. Even if they bought a website and never got it, because it was not physically shipped, paypal will not back their money.

Yeah the BIN doesn't include the BANS license. On Craigslist... I set the BIN price to $500 and didn't expect to hit it. I was surprised to find that someone actually wanted to pay that much.

In fact the buyer was so happy with the site and the software that he had me give him advice on setting up more sites. He now has 14. I even gave him one of my bans header designers for the work.

Doubt you would find people on digitalpoint and sitepoint that didn't know about BANS and that would be excited by it.

Hmm... thanks for the update. So the BIN price doesn't include the fact that they still need to drop 97 bucks on another site. If I might ask... what are you setting as your BIN? $50, $100, or something less?

You tell them they must already own a BANS license because the software license doesn't transfer over with sale. Then you give them your affiliate link and make sure they purchase it.

I posted a gocode link from my site so I could track the clicks. I actually had 11 clicks and made 2 sales, the buyer and a viewer that liked the site and decided to buy a license for himself.

So it actually made me $88 on top of the flip.

Craiglist is the easiest place to sale things like this. Digitalpoint and Sitepoint people are savvy and have already heard of BANS. So they offer like $20 for a BANS site.

Craigslist people usually never heard of BANS and love the idea. They will usually jump on the chance to buy the site for the BIN price and go right out and purchase a license.

So obviously you are telling them they will need to make this purchase in the auction? Or are you deducting from the price... not sure where you would mention this.
