I upgraded to the new WordPress 2.6 tonite. No issues with theme or plugins and as far as the eye can see, no real changes to the main functions of WordPress.

I do like the new layout in the plugins section and I like the new word count feature when writing posts. This will come in handy when writing paid reviews that require a minimum word count.

Other than those small things there is something called Google Gears which is supposed to cache css and javascript on the users computer to speed up WordPress. It claims to speed up load times of your blog pages by a few seconds. We will see if this works or not after I activate it.

So for now, all is good with the WordPress 2.6 upgrade.
